World Book Day 2024
We always enjoy World Book Day here at Cleadon Academy. This year it was made even better with the addition of a book swap. Every child got to choose and take home a book from the huge selection available. Our Reading Ambassadors were on hand to help the younger children to choose a title.
We were very impressed with the level of creativity shown in the huge variety of costumes. The children (and staff) had a lovely day and enjoyed sharing their favourite stories.

World Book Day 2022
We were very excited to celebrate World Book Day as a whole school this year. Each Key Stage chose a text to base their activities on and the children moved from classroom to classroom to complete each challenge. Over the last few years we have missed our parade of book characters so everyone was really happy to be able to meet in the Social Display area and show off our costumes..

Over the past few weeks our staff have been working hard to create a new school library in the Social Display Area. We thought that World Book Day 2022 would be the perfect time to launch it.
